City Recorder

The City Recorder has 2 roles: as City Recorder and as the Elections Officer.

City Recorder

  • Acts as custodian for City ordinances, resolutions, deeds and contracts
  • Maintains accurate records of all business proceedings of the Council
  • Maintains official records for the City
  • Serves as clerk to the City Council
Elections Officer
  • Assists candidates as they run for office
  • Assists citizens filing initiative petitions
  • Provides election information to citizens
  • Works closely with the county during election years
