Elected City Offices in Grants Pass
The Mayor and members of the City Council are elected to City Office. None of these elected officials receive a salary.

The Mayor is elected at large, every four years. City Councilors are elected at large to represent the four Wards. Each Ward is represented by two councilors. See the Ward Map.

Voters will elect or reelect persons to the positions held by the following persons:

What are the Steps to Run for City Office?
  1. Meet State and City Charter qualifications for the City Office in question.
  2. File for Candidacy with the City Recorder.
  3. Submit $10 filing fee or Circulate the Petition for Nonpartisan Nomination in lieu of filing fee. 
  4. If Nonpartisan Nomination was chosen, submit petition for signature verification.
  5. Register the Campaign Committee, if required.
  6. File a statement in the Voter's Pamphlet (optional)
