COMMENTS Also known as the California White Oak. Fast growing oak (24"+ per year). Large, spreading canopy and picturesque twisting limbs. May be approved for 6' planting strips if residents have high preference for this species in the right-of-way in front of their properties. Very drought tolerant and does well with dry hot summers. No not irrigate in the summer (after establishment). Features: wildlife. Full sun to partial shade.
