Parks Advisory Committee

Purpose

The mission of the Parks Advisory Committee is to provide, preserve and promote parks, trails and recreation services to benefit the Grants Pass community.

To review and make recommendations for:

  • Allocation of recreation resources between users
  • Funding
  • Needs and locations for new park land and trail locations
  • Park planning
  • Preservation of park resources

    Apply for Bikeways and Walkways Committee - Applications are being accepted for one position. Special qualification: Members must represent the interest of walkers or bicyclists. Fill out and submit online by March 1, 2024

    Apply for Tourism Advisory Committee - Applications are being accepted for one position. Special qualification: Interest and/or experience in tourism promotion. This committee will include preferably (A) two members representing lodging properties within the City of Grants pass, and (B) others representing river guides, area attractions, realtors, restaurants, the media, marketing, and citizens-at-large. Fill out and submit online by March 1, 2024

    Apply for Urban Area Planning Commission - Applications are being accepted for two positions. Special qualification: The Council desires to balance the interests of growth and development with quality-of-life concerns.  Members shall reside within the Urban Growth Boundary, whether within the City limits or the Urbanizing Area. Fill out and submit online by April 3, 2024
