Every December, special things happen in downtown Grants Pass. Among them, a holiday gift from the City: the Grants Pass City Council aims to assist shoppers through the Holiday shopping season by suspending the three-hour parking limitation in City parking lots and on street parking spaces in the downtown.
Downtown Grants Pass is the place to be this Holiday shopping season. Holiday season sales represent an important contribution to the success of retail businesses in our community, and that’s especially true in downtown Grants Pass.
In addition to the parking spaces on the street, there are 399 spaces available to shoppers this season in eight public parking lots. The Council would like to encourage the community to stay and shop in Grants Pass this season. So, come shop in downtown Grants Pass this Holiday Season with less worry of getting a parking ticket! The parking is on us.
The Fine Print:
Parking enforcement suspension will be active from Friday, December 1, 2017 – Sunday, December 31, 2017 and will only apply to the eight City lots and the on street parking in the Central Business District. Prohibited parking will still be enforced. Reserved Parking Permit holders can continue to park in their assigned lots, but these spaces will also be opened up to general customer parking as well. Vehicles remaining in lots in excess of 24 hours are still subject to fines and/or towing at the owner’s expense.
