We are looking to fill a full time Utility Worker II or Utility Worker III (depending on qualifications) in our Wastewater Collections Division.
Utility Worker II Primary Duties
Assists in operating TV truck to complete precise inspections of the collection system; operating a high pressure vacuum truck to excavate manholes, sewer cleaning; locating underground sanitary sewer lines, generates maps of areas, inspections of sewer lines; repair and maintain sewer lines; oversee and inspect pre and post-construction of street utilities; manages traffic control plan and responds to customers.
Utility Worker III Primary Duties:
Provide training and guidance to Utility Worker I/II, seasonal and temporary workers and to lead work crews; assist the Superintendent in administration of the crew by scheduling, overseeing assigned personnel; instruct staff in the proper methods and techniques to carry out their duties; completes necessary training; responds to emergency calls and delivers safe and courteous customer service. Operates the TV truck to complete precise inspections of the collection system and provides technical information to supervisor, co-workers, contractors; records and reports accurate data and mapping information; and manages traffic control.

- Utility Worker II hourly wage range: $18.22 to $23.05
- Utility Worker III hourly wage range: $19.86 to $25.13
This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site.
