Are you a leader looking to further your career in Water Distribution? Then, take a look at this new opportunity for a Utility Worker III with the City of Grants Pass Water Distribution Team!

This position will assist the Superintendent in administration of the crew to ensure efficient, cost effective and safe completion of duties and projects and reporting progress, problems and concerns to the Superintendent. Maintains job site safety, responds to emergency calls and after-hour response. Installs water services and fire hydrants, calculates orders for supplies, collects samples for testing and flushes water mains.

This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site.

Minimum Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of directly related experience in a utilities environment are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.

Licensing Requirements:

• Valid Oregon Driver's License Class C and Commercial Driver's License Class B with tanker endorsement

• Forklift Certificate

• Oregon Certified Flagger

• OHA-DWP Water Distribution III

• Backflow Inspector or Tester Certificate

• Competent Person Certificate - Trenching

• Confined Space Supervisor Certificate
