GRANTS PASS – A portion of the river trail at Reinhart Volunteer Park will be closed to the public while city contractors work on completing a new trail connection at the park. Repairs will also be made to existing paved trail areas between the fly-fishing pond and the River Vista House, as well as along the east side of the Hub ballfields there.
The new connecting trail will be in between the Hub and the east edge of the park, said Parks Superintendent Wendy Giordano.
The public is advised to stay clear of the closed sections and construction areas for safety. The trail is expected to be completed by the end of the week, said Giordano.
City park open spaces, hiking trails, and bike paths remain accessible to the public during state-mandated social distancing restrictions. Parks facilities such as restrooms, play structures, and athletic courts are closed to the public until the state mandate is lifted.
