[ARCHIVED] Council Resumes Physical Meetings at City Hall

City Press Releases Get Informed

GRANTS PASS – The Grants Pass City Council will return to conducting physical meetings on their regular schedule at City Hall beginning 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3. Meetings will be conducted following current state-mandated Phase One reopening social distancing requirements in City Council Chambers, 101 NW ‘A’ St.

Due to Phase One requirements limiting gatherings to more than 25 people, there will be limited available public attendance, but public comment will resume. Public comment cards must be completed and turned into the city recorder by 5:50 p.m. prior to the meeting. The public comment period will be limited to no more than 30 minutes.

Individuals will be given three minutes to speak. The mayor or chair will call on the citizen. If more than two people are speaking on one topic, those individuals will be asked to select a spokesperson, and that one individual will be provided five minutes to speak.

Citizens wishing to speak are reminded to address the council as one body, not as individuals. Council may consider items mentioned during this time later in their agenda.

Regular city council meetings occur 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month. For additional meeting schedules, visit the city’s website: www.grantspassoregon.gov.
