GRANTS PASS – The City of Grants Pass has been awarded matching funds totaling $80,000 from the Oregon Business Development Department (Business Oregon) to facilitate a COVID-19 Emergency Business Grant program for small businesses and non-profits. Prior expenditure of local funds, made available by the city council for emergency COVID-19 business relief grants, are an eligible match source and no additional local resources are needed to access funds from Business Oregon.
The purpose of the grant is to provide financial assistance to small businesses and non-profits adversely affected by economic conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic that have not received federal emergency assistance under the federal CARES Act or other federal program for emergency pandemic funding.
The grant application and eligibility requirements set by the State of Oregon can be found online at https://www.grantspassoregon.gov/1355/COVID-19-Information.
While not a requirement for applying, the city and state are also strongly encouraging business owners who are members of historically disadvantaged population groups and sole proprietors to apply. The deadline for the applications is 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.
