City Press Release - Get Informed - Old Town Marketplace

The City of Grants Pass, through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), will be offering a Weatherization/Rehabilitation program to low-income homeowners residing within the city, giving them, an opportunity to apply for CDBG grants to help them with accessibility, weatherization repairs, or rehabilitation of their homes.

Applications will be accepted from August 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022. At the end of the open period, applications will be reviewed, and applicants selected based on their income level. The city’s CDBG 2022 program year begins October 1, 2022 at which time the selected applicants will be notified and given an approximate schedule for the work to be performed.

The CDBG program allocates funds each year for these types of projects based on the annual award the city receives from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency. The funds are limited, applications must meet the income level, and not all repairs are eligible. An attachment is provided with the application to show the weatherization (maintenance) and rehabilitation activities available.

Application packets will be distributed around the city and will be provided at the Community Development Department located at 101 NW A Street, Suite 202. Application materials can also be accessed via the link below.
