Our dispatch center provides services for City police, EMS, and five fire agencies in Josephine County.
Lateral Incentives Available

In addition to base salary, incentives available to Dispatchers include:
• Associates Degree - 2.5%
• Bachelor's Degree - 5.0%
• Second Language - 1.25%
• DPSST Intermediate Certificate - 2.50%
• DPSST Advanced Certificate - 2.50%
Note: Associate's Degree is not cumulative.
Successful applicants will have strong keyboarding skills, outstanding interpersonal and judgment skills, and the ability to multi-task during intense situations and high-volume workloads. Incumbents are responsible for answering emergency 9-1-1 and non-emergency telephone calls and directing appropriate and timely resources. Responsibilities include prioritizing calls, tracking unit status, and dispatching emergency personnel to crime scenes and calls for service.
Our Police Department is a 24-7 operation and all candidates will be required to work nights, weekends, rotating shifts, and holidays.
