Applications are being accepted for two positions on the Historical Buildings and Sites Commission. These are four-year appointments.
The committee’s purpose is to review proposed alterations to any Historic District or designated structure in the Urban Growth Boundary; to promote the community's historic preservation; to advise other interested agencies on matters related to historic preservation; and to identify areas of archeological significance and buildings of historic or archeological significance. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of the City of Grants Pass.
- One position is for a representative from a local historical society in Grants Pass; one position is for a Citizen-at-large.
Applications are available at the City Administration Office, 101 N.W. A Street, or online. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023. Applications will be reviewed by the commission Thursday, April 13, 2023, 2023. Applicants will be interviewed by the Council at the Council Workshop Monday, May 1, 2023. Appointments will be made by the Council at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
