The City of Grants Pass invites qualified individuals or firms to submit proposals to provide Insurance Agent of Record: Benefits Broker/Consultant services for employee medical/vision/prescription insurance (HEALTH), dental insurance (DENTAL), life insurance (LIFE), long-term disability (LTD) insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance and employee assistance/wellness (EAP) services.

The City of Grants Pass has a population of about 37,285 and is located in Josephine County approximately 60 miles north of the California/Oregon border and about four hours south of Portland. The City employs approximately 245 temporary, part-time and full-time employees, 178 of which are covered under City provided medical/dental insurance and 217 of which are covered under life, AD&D, and LTD insurance and EAP services.

Special Requirements:
Proposer must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered as a qualified proposer:
1. Must be licensed by the Insurance Commissioner of the State of Oregon and be in good standing.
2. Must register to do business in the City of Grants Pass.
3. Shall have at least ten years’ experience in the insurance field. Such experience shall include writing insurance for public agencies.
4. Shall maintain an office with a trained office staff. Shall provide a back-up person who is familiar and updated with City’s program.
